I got a call from Dan Keller (a professor Owner of the company) Told me this is the last draw before legal action would be taken.

I asked for their business license and never got it. He made and offer and told me I had 24 hours to get back with them. I am still waiting for the license number for the business and since he said he was and attory, his bar number too.

I check myfloridalicense and there is no such company.

they said call back at
866655560

the number they called in on is 9046721814

makes no sense to me

the 866 number you posted isnt complete, its only 9 digits, not ten.

the 904 number is apparently spoofed, it doesnt come back to any law office as far as I have found. And, it is illegal for them to use caller ID spoofing like that. Check that, I just found on the bud hibbs website that these guys use VOIP numbers to call people, so that 904 number isnt spoofed after all. They are a SCAM. Go to bud hibbs dot com and read up on LEGAL ACTION RECOVERY AKA/PAUL KELLER (KELLHER) & ASSOCIATES for more info.

Unless you receive a dunning letter from them, I would not worry about it. They are required to send the letter within five days of initial contact. If you receive it, then send a dv letter to the address on their letter. A good rule of thumb is if you get nothing in writing, then don't give them anything. I would not give them any information at all.

I received a call today regarding a debt I way past due on (credit card) he told me everything about me even told me what kind of car I own. The number was 904-672-1810. Told me to contact a lawyer, or make arrangement to pay. So I made arrangements. They want me to email them so they can tell me where to send a money transfer since I told them I don't have a checking account. I did receive a letter the other day from the credit card company stating they would settle with me and make arrangements. I am not sure if I should email them or not. Please someone advise. Thanks.

My daughter had a call from someone from Keller and King Assoc saying I had to call them back TODAY!! It was imperative I call TODAY!! When I called the 1-866-655-5560 number and used the ext #2226 for Johnathan Graves, the message was that it was an "invalid" extension number.

That's when I decided to look the company up on line and see what was up. Then I looked on called ID and the phone number was 904-672-1813. I am confused as to what is going on and the legality of it. Do I respond? What should I do?

this company does use illegal tactics and they want to make you believe that they are an attorney recommending the client take legal action to recover the funds. they dont use the mini-miranda which is required on the initial conversation to the consumer.i also believe that they are not fully licensed in every state they collect in. if you record these calls this business would be done within a couple of weeksdue to several fdcpa violations.the only way to stop companies like this is to stand up for your rights

I received a call from Keller King today regarding an account for my father and he needed to call immediately before they took legal action! David Stern, total jerk! He raised his voice and just asked for him to send something to my father's address if they were legit.

I recived a call today from an agent at Keller King & Assoc. she told me that I had 24 hrs to pay 70% of what i owe or my credit card company will be pursuing a lawsuit against me! I did my research online and it says that creditors are NOT ALLOWED to ask for a post dated check which is what she told me she could take! Also I told her to call me on my cell phone as i wasn't allowed to have this conversatin on my work line and she refused ! Warning me that this is the only time that she would be calling me! That is also against what creditors are supposed to do. She tried to settle with me demanding that i pay $300.00 with in 24 hrs... but I NEVER recieved ANYTHING in writing! I don't know what to do ! I don't want to give my debit card number to someone who is CLAIMING to help me.. what do i do ? The number they todl me to call back is (904) 672-1808

I received a call today from this company strong arming into paying or face a lawsuit! I found this website and read the threads and this empowered me to fight back! This company had all my information including property that I once owned prior to my divorce over 8 years ago! They tried to get me to pay but I told them to send me a letter validating who they were, and I would look into my finances to set up a payment arrangement. This credit card company HHSC is a joke and charge me $ just to have the card, I never made one purchase and I called them years ago to close this account count so I could pay the thing off. They never did, so time passes and it is forgotten! Then wham the call comes in trying to scare me into cowering to pay money that I don't have right now, if I did I sure would not be getting this call. I explained that I would be happy to make payments that I can afford and only if they sent a letter in writing to me. thanks for the posts because if I had not read this I would be in a pickle! You know the government wants to bail out banks but what about us hard working people trying to make a living working payday to payday just to make rent, buy food, pay our health care benefits (if we are lucky to have them) gasoline, and car repairs! Not only that but trying to care of a family in my case including my grandchildren because these young folks can't find a job and try to make it day to day! It is awful where we are at. Sad day it is!

first off don't worry.they can't sue that quickly.that is a scare tactic meant to get money out of you.now they have 5 days from that call to send a dunning letter.that basically says who they are, what the debt is for,and how much.it should also have an address to send a DV letter.in the meantime do not speak to them again as they can't do a thing they threaten.however if now that they threatened legal action on the first call they have 30 days to actually do it.i wouldn't count on it though.just don't worry my friend, and don't give them a thing as far as payment goes as you have every right to know that your paying the right people.

he only wants to get you on the phone to threaten you.i wouldn't return the call unless you were going to demand something in writing.my little rule is.

"the more they threaten without something in writing.the less likely they can actually do what they threaten." this place sounds like your typical rent-a-lawyer bottomfeeder.i wouldn't indulge him without the demand for something in writing.

I am living in a jungle and have no debt, no bank account and very happy. I use to have a landline (for 25 yrs) and now using a air-card with working 3G technology in jungle, I forwarded my old landline to my latest iPhone and every day receiving 2-3 Robo calls ( computer automated calls) from Keller & king , they are leaving same number like others 866-655-5560 (x. 2230 last time) , I did respond and they ask a person whom I knew and K&K big man ( Debt collector) advised me to pass msg. to that person since it is a LEGAL matter.
I agree these people desperately seeking DUMPSTER money and trying every possible way to collect.
Simply I am going to report this company since they are practicing ill-legal ways to reach their parties.
Once I suspected THE Debt collector he simply warn me that he will get it in ???Hard Way??? and hung up on me ??????
Please keep posting your experiences with this ??? Clowns??? and report if necessary.
Good luck

I got a call from Keller King yesterday. David Stern told me he was a lawyer and that his client was going to sue me in 24hrs. He told me I had 24hrs to come up with over $5,000.00. He told me to borrow the money and get a 2nd job. He was so rude he actually hung up on me. In our second conversation he bullied me further and made me think he was an actual lawyer. Thank you so much to everyone who spoke out about this company.
I feel much better.

Just checking, Amv. The scum collectors that illegal payday lenders tend to favor are very prone to making up that sort of bullsh*t legal jargon to scare people.

Meanwhile... Have you received anything in writing? Or just phone calls? If/when they call back, tell them they've got five days from whenever they first contacted you to get you something in writing. Then just hang up. There's no law that requires you to be abused or insulted.

EVenin' -

The litany of bullsh*t threats and sundry violations just keeps growing. 'Filing a non compliance' was a new one on me. 'Good luck?' That's suspiciously like Legal Mediation Practice, a bottom feeder out of Jacksonville, Florida.

As I see it, you've got two choices at this point: Tell'em to get bent, or send them a very strongly worded DV letter. If you choose the letter approach (helpful in case you decide to sue) try this address:

Kellar King and Associates
1636 Shadowood Lane
Jacksonville, FL 32207

I can't vouch for the accuracy of it, as I rummaged it up off of the Web. But I did cross-reference it with a job listing they had posted. The address is in the right location.

I have had calls from these guys for a few weeks now. Today they actually hung up on me when I asked for their address. LOL... They knew if I sent them a return reciept request to stop calling they would be legally responsible for the debt. I live in Texas and there is very little that can be done here and I have had these guys call before. These are mean and vicious people who are just trying to make a buck. If you live in a state where you can record them do so and contact an attorney. Sue em for harrasment cause thats what they are doing to you! Believe me it only will get worse!

Kellar King and Associates are consistent violaters of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I have a lady that I've been working with to help with her finances and she shared with me her encounter with a Dan Stern at KKA. The debt they were trying to collect was more than three years old and they called to inform her that not only did he represent attorneys but claimed he would sue her if she did not give them the account number to her bank to draft payments. According to the FDCPA, she was violated three times and that is a federal offense. The unscrupulous manner in which these criminals collect needs to be reported to the Florida Attorney General's office. What these insects do is buy old, old collection accounts for pennies on the dollar and then attempt to collect in any manner they can make a commission check. They hire people that barely have high school diplomas, give them the tools to collect illegally and put them on the phones. The front office is there to only keep up the appearances of a legit and high profile operation and the back office is where 25-50 collectors work to strong arm, coherse and threaten consumers in a most illegal and unprofessional manner. These bottom feeders need to have the legal hammer brought down upon them with such a fury that the Gods can't even pardon.

I received a call today from 904-672-1813. he said he was paul cross from the firm keller king and associates. basically said they had rendered on my behalf and they needed to hear from me immediately for my final statement. that this was the final documented attempt to contact me and wished me good luck. return call to 904-672-1810 ext 2224. I tried to call back and got keller king but the ext was not valid. I have no idea what this is.

it is a scam....I posted a comment about them under the legal mediation topic, I think you asked there too.... They are not a law firm just so you know.

Do you have this call on tape? If so save it. If not then I suggest finding out if you can record calls in your state without telling the other party, then you get them to break the law and sue them.

I just got a call at my work number for my fiance (he used to work here, but hasn't in over 2 years) from Keller King. The guy, Paul, told me that he needed my fiance to call him ASAP at a number similar to the one on this website. 904-672-1810 ext 2224. Is this truly a scam? I work the phones at this company (past 5 yrs) and I have never received a call for him until today. I feel like an idiot now because I gave him my cell number to contact tomorrow since I don't have my fiance's memorized.

Received contact from Keller King and Assoc, claiming the LAW SUIT issue, same as everyone else. Asked for the FL Bar number, and was put on with a supremely rude gentleman, who did not give his name or occupation at the company. He wouldn't let me ask questions, etc, so I added a complaint to the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU. Can everyone do this as well?

Some lady from this number called my work yesterday and my supervisor answered it and transfered it to me. I had a feeling it was something like this because my supervisor said she was very rude so I just hung up on her. She called back and actually left a message for me saying I need to contact her OR my attorney needs to contact her. She left this message on the PUBLIC answering machine at my work. Then today, a man called and asked for me. I told him it was me and he asked me to verify my social - I told him I dont give that out and he said he was "trying to help me" - I told him I still dont give that out and he said "well then I cant tell you what this is about, but dont worry, you'll find out soon". Both of them are very rude and I'll just let it ride until they go away. I dont even owe any amount of debt large enough for an attorney to care so I know its crap.

I recently got a phone from these people. Long story short, I was told that this account was on my credit report and that I should take a look at it. The first credit report did not have this company on there. The second report I got did, BUT below in the discharged part of my credit report, it has this specific account discharged because we went bankrupt on it. I also did a background check on the two numbers that they used to call me from and those two numbers actually belong to residents of Florida. I am assuming that they have NO IDEA that this company is using their phone number illegally. I am seeking legal counsel and will be taking care of this matter ASAP!
