I'm being sued for a BoA credit card...the summons and their dunning letter both have an original account number...this whole time I thought it was the correct card number listed...the last digits are similar...but the number is no where CLOSE to my account number with BoA...I wouldn't be excited but they referenced that it was my original account number with BoA...
This gives me great hope going into mediation tomm... I wanted to share!!

On the summons and on their dunning letter they both have Orginal Creditor: Bank of America and Original Account Number: XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX. I have a letter from another collection agency that tried to collect on it about 10 months ago that has this same account number, so somewhere down the line someone or something got screwed up.

Just went to my mediation case and advised that the account number was not the same as they were suing...they basically said the account number didnt matter that they could get that fixed if it went to trial. I entered an agreement outside of court, but he stated he will have to get the films to see why the account number is not the same.
