Received Letter from VCS

I grabbed the mail this morning and found I had a letter from VCS & Associates. I had asked them to send me the contract from SSM Group since I didn't have one and they said I did, that it's in my email. Well I keep ALL my emails, drives my husband crazy and nope...no contract or emails ever from SSM Group.

They deposited $250 in our account and have taken $225 total so far. Now this letter from VCS & Associates are claiming I owe $730 and that since I defaulted SSM Group has given the collection over to VCS. It's a standard letter from VCS that says I'm in dault and that I must pay immediately or actions will be taken.

I have sent them a debt validation letter and just waiting to see what happens. Should I be worried?


did you send the letter certified mail return receipt?if so wait for the receipt.then they can't contniue to collect until they validate the debt.i would wait and not talk to them until then.

I called the bank and had them stop all transactions for SSM Group back at the end of July. They haven't been taking anything out of my account since. I go online several times a day almost every day to make sure there is no illegal activity on our account because as soon as that happens I will close the account immediately!
