I need advice on an internet pay day loan received thorough Ace Cash Express. They keep calling and threatening me over the loan. The loan was included in my bankruptcy which was filed a few weeks ago. However, i still get threatening phone calls from them.

I've tried to get advice from the AZ department of financial institutions and even in Texas where they have their corporate headquarters.

What if anything can be done on either their part to collect the debt or on my part to end the physically threatening phone calls?

They keep changing the wording from pay day loan to bad check to secure a debt. My attorney said that pay day loans can be included in bankruptcy and this loan was on my bankruptcy petition when I filed.

Any advice?

i'm in the same situation. i retained an attorney a few weeks ago and ace cash express is included. basically my attorney told me they can call until i get the acual case number. but i did send a certified letter to their hq in texas explaining i have retained an attorney and gave them my attny info. i included a c&d just for laughs. they called a few times but all i told them was call my attorney and offerd my attny info. since then they stoped calling. the only thing you need to tell them is call my attorney and hang up. hope this helps, btw i'm in az too.

Yes, I filed already and have a case number. They know I filed as I told them the last time I talked to them. Then they called me yesterday and left me one of their famous messages that I had 24 hours to return their phone call and if I didn't, then they wished me luck, because I would definitely need it.

i get those same scripted messages but its people from india, really thick accent, they allways say that, "if you dont return this call the very second you get this messae, all i can do is wish you good luck". is that the same you are talking about? i called back 3 diffrent numbers they left on my voice mail and all the numbers went to a fax machine. either way they are breaking the law, violating the automatic stay. i hope you or your attorney stick it to them. you should call them back and be like "i just wanted to wish you good luck, because you are going to need it". anyways good luck and i am sure it will work out for you.
