I got paid today. I was finally able to get a manager to freeze my account, no ACH's etc. So, I log in today and see all of these transactions pending. What good is a freeze if they still let them come through? I am confused. He said it is common and that they will sit there for a day or two and then be returned. My question is, if I can not even get money out of my account, how can these people put it on hold? Half of these things I don't even recognize...and will the bank return them? SHe told me a freeze was just that...nothing will come through...so what do I do now?

My account is not negative

They did return them, but I had to go back in and talk to them. The one manager was very apologetic and helpful. The other guy, after hearing my story told me that I pre authorized these and should pay back what I owe.

I was livid! I told him that my personal finances were none of his business and my rights as a consumer were just that...to revoke auths, regardless of what/who I owe. I also told him it was his responsibility to protect my financial information, as it had been compromised.

He smiled at me. Anyways, they did reverse them. Now here is my question..I did have some fraud on my account which they are investigating. What happens if my bank decides that I agreed to these loans? Some I did, some I didn't...and have no info for. Will they let them come back through? I told manager I was making other arrangements to pay and that they will still try and withdraw even after I sent letters.

regardless of what he thinks you should pay, you have the right to revoke ACH transactions and to not allow you to do so is breaking the law on their part. i would speak to a supervisor and demand that nothing comes through your account and than to permantely close it without allow any ACH to open it back up.
I have no idea why banks are being so stubborn these days, it is really none of their buisness.
