Is it legal for a licensed storefront lender in Lousiana to report an account to a collection agency? If so is it legal for the collection agency to increase the amt (add interes) after 2 years without explanation?

What do you mean by 'without explanation'? If the collection agency has increased the amount which you think isn't right, you may send them the debt validation letter demanding explanation.

The pdl lender can report your account to a collection agency if you have defaulted on the loan. A legal payday lender enjoys the rights of any other lender including reporting a defaulted account to the customer's credit report.
