I just rec'd a call from as & assc statsing that charges were being filed with the state of la thursday for a pdl I have with National money store. Has anyone had a claim filed against them form this company? do I setup payment arrangements with them?

The first loan was in the amount of $300 and I paid $730.84. I then foolishly took a second loan in the amount of $300 and paid $50 on the renewal. I then sent a letter asking for the overpayment to be applied to this loan and this is where I am now. National money Store would not speak to me stating they have sent to the attorney. Now today I got this call.

The collector is Toni Price. She said that she emailed "him" and he will accept $310. It will be 2 payments. She is going to let me know tomorrow if he agrees to this arrangement.

I don't know what to do. I do not want this on my credit report. I have been working very hard to get my credit score up even if it is a little higher. I wish I knew if anyone else dealt with this company and if they filed it in your credit report.

if she reports it.dispute it as an illegal pdl.it will be removed i assure you.she is making those threats because she has no other recourse.you owe 250.00.if they want that in two payments.get an actual address.if they won't provide one.then they get no payment.hold your ground.we can help counter any threat they make.

She already said that they accept credit, debit or western union only. I do have to say that I have not had any pdl's that I mailed letters to credit me for the amount paid on a previous loan. I was feeling positive about this happening at first, but it has happened. The ones I have made arrangements with will not give credit for the rollovers amounts paid. I am feeling very depressed about the whole situation. I am trying very hard to work this out myself instead of paying someone to do it for me.

I wouldn't give 5 cents to anyone calling on the phone unless I'd dealt with them in writing beforehand. If these people are legit, ask them to send you something in writing on company letterhead, detailing exactly what is owed. See what they say to that. Otherwise, I agree with paulmergel, file the complaints w/ your AG.
