Hi, I have a quick question. I had a pay day loan with pay day one or pay day yes (they go by the same name) a couple of years back. I paid on it, but they are saying I still owe. I have a different account now, but they say that they have that information (don't know how they got it) and that they are going to debit my account. Can they do this to my new account???

Also, they called me today at work (don't know how they got my work number) and I answered. I told them that I didn't work there anymore...I didn't want to get in trouble and I don't know how they found out where I worked! Then they somehow got my HR contact information and called my HR department. The HR department just called and talked to me and then wanted my boss.

What can they legally tell my HR department? I live in Texas so I know they can't garnish my wages...

I am freaking out trying to figure out how they got my current information.

I more than paid them off a couple of years ago. I just stopped paying once I lost my job at the time. I think I borrowed 300 and paid back 700 or so. But they didn't consider that PIF because they said I had finance charges.

Are they legal in Texas?

Any help is appreciated.
