I posted a question regarding Payday Loan of America prior to this. I really appreciate all the
help I have been receiving. I actually received
a refund and one of my payday loans marked it
paid in full. Getting back to Payday loan of America
Does anyone have any info on this company. I live in New Jersey and they are located in Delaware. They say they are licensed in Delaware
on the loan. Because payday loans are illegal in
New Jersey do I have to abide by the laws of
Delaware? Also I have paid them $300 in fees
towards a $400 loan. I willing to pay them the
balance of $100 but am I liable for anything
else being they are in Delaware?

No, you do not abide by Delaware laws because payday loans are prohibited in the state of New Jersey. So it was Illegal for them to lend to you in the first place. Ignore their empty threats, it is typical from illegal online lenders. ;)

You are only morally obligated to pay $400 in which you borrowed. So if you paid them $300 on the loan, then $100 is all they should recieve from you.
