Drowning in payday loan debt...
Date: Wed, 09/02/2009 - 10:47
Hello everyone,
I have read this board for quite a long time, but I have finally made the decision to get out of payday loan debt! :p Unfortunately, I have made the terrible decision to take out many Internet payday loans in NC:
Web PayDay - $450
JHS Marketing - $200
Kenwood Services - $250
Zip19 - $300
MyCashNow - $300
United Cash Loans - $200
This is not including the finance charges. I've been through a lot financially over the past year or so, and I am ready to take control. I spoke with the lady at my credit union yesterday, and she was actually pretty helpful (considering my checking account is way in the negative). She advised me to fill out an unauthrized ACH form for each of these creditors. What can they do to me if I do this? She said that the reasoning that I am drowning in debt should be sufficient enough for me for this to work, but I'm not sure.
Also, to satisfy this debt, I really would like to make alternate payment arrangements (maybe like a DMP for payday loans, if that's available). I already am a CareOne member, but they don't do payday loans.
Can anyone help me?
Thank you!!
