Mr Mitchell Calling - Nationwide Cash
Date: Wed, 09/02/2009 - 13:52
I got a couple of calls today from Mr. Mitchell at Nationwide. I've had two loans with them. The first was a $400 loan which I paid $1440 in total. The second was a loan in the amount of $400, which I've paid $200 on. I told them in my email that I consider myself "paid in full" due to my horrific overpayment on the first loan.
I have googled this and also seen on this forum where this is one of their scare tatics. How do I get him to stop? He said in his message to "stop ignoring him" and "this is not a game".
I'm planning on resending my email to him. Should I also send something via us mail? Will my AG really call this guy? I live in IL.
Any thoughts are appreciated. This guy is giving me the creeps...

I just sent him a copy of the email I sent to Ernest last week.
I just sent him a copy of the email I sent to Ernest last week. I just noticed that my phone was ringing again with his number on the caller id (not even 5 mins since I pressed send).
I will send something now to AG in IL.

New question--
I got a response from Paul at Nationwide Cash, who informed me that the loan took place in Delaware.
I think I know the answer to this but don't my state laws superceed his state laws? I mean, they state on their website that they don't loan to certain states so I assumed that was because they knew they were illegal there. If Delaware laws took precidence, wouldnt they just loan to everyone?
