I just got served by Chase and have 20 days to respond. I am in North FL and the lawyer for them is in South FL and his name is Philip Orsi. Has anyone had to deal with him or had any luck in court against him. I owe 24,000 on 2 different accounts and don't have enough to settle with at this time.

It looks to me like they sent these summons all over the state and just changed the names and addresses. I think they are looking for a default judgement if they do not get an answer from some of the people. I think if I put up a fight they might take on the easier cases first and put me on the back burner. Ofcourse I am just guessing and any input from anyone would be appreciated. Thanks

Here is an informative website on defending yourself in civil court:
It is for New York and so may vary in some details. If you Google "Florida pro se defendant civil court" you will find a lot of case records for other lawsuits where one of the litigants appeared pro se.

Me and my husband beat the chase in the court in 2004.
Illegally chase increased our bill from 4000,00 to 10.000,00.
If you have not a house, new car , new boat or a high salary from your job is ok for you.
My husband became blind and mentally ill.he is in social security disability and i do not work since 1996.my job is taking care of my husband blind and mentally ill.
I wish to you good luck against chase.
Do not be afraid to go to the court.
Maybe you be free of chase forever.
