I have been researching Debt Settlement Co's on the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and am shocked how many have low ratings and complaints. So far I've only been able to find 1 company with an A+ rating. I so glad I did my research as the BBB has always been my reference point.

Can you tell us the name of the company that has the A+ rating?

I assume you are aware that BBB has set a national policy that Debt Settlement Companies cannot get rated above a D+ unless (a) the local BBB chapter refuses to implement the policy (three chapters are being threatened with expulsion from the BBB for doing so) or (b) the debt settlement company "tricks" the BBB into rating it as a different type of business, i.e., some that are running the so-called "law firm" model and get scored as lawyers rather than debt settlement companies. I've even seen two debt settlement companies with ZERO complaints against them rated "F" by the BBB.

Remember, the BBB may be non-profit, but it is not unbiased. Banks and other credit card issuers are MAJOR contributors to the BBB, both in membership dues and direct donations.

i believe the important thing when looking into the bbb about settlement is to see how many complaints and if they are satisfied or not. keep in mind the settlement industry is messy so alot of people get angry when they get sued and file a complaint not realizing that this can happen no matter who you use. i would not stick to a settlement co based on the bbb reporting letter. check to see if complaints are resolved, see if they are members of tasc, and other organizations that protect consumers and for goodness sake, GOOGLE GOOGLE is your friend search for that company in many different ways like" X company is a scam or X company worked for me, or X company stole from me, I used Xcompany how X company worked for me, you get the idea. any way you can think of search it that way. see what people are saying about that particular company. and honestly i would stay away from a new company that does not have much feedback honestly how are you gonna research how well they work for you if they have not proven a track record yet? i know someone has to go first but it doesnt have to be you! Good luck!

Why is it that only one company has a BBB rating of A or higher?

BBB is now and has always been a pirated organization that will say anything for a dollar!

consumers concern-

the BBB can not be trusted, they control alot and nobody can do anything about it.

wish the world could know this.
