Hi,

I was wondering if you could give me any help before I deal with these companies. I received two payday loans 1 from Discount Advances in the amount of $600 and one from 500 fast cash in the amount of $500. At the time the debited my account I did not have enough funds to cover and they continually tried to debit my account for various amounts almost everyday. I have to close my bank account now as I received too many NSF fees. How should I deal with paying these companies back and I'm wondering if there were any laws with the amount they can overcharge me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I live in the State of California if that helps.

Thanks

California sued 500FastCash and lost. Doesn't mean the lender can legally collect more from you than CA law permits, but there isn't anything the regulators can do about it if they did. The Department of Corporations may still be able to help you with the other one, though.
