I currently have a pdl out with gecc. The amount of the original loan was $400. According to my records they have taken out payments on 7/16/09,7/30/09,8/13/09,8/27/09 and 9/10/09 in the amount of 106.00. To my knowledg that adds up to 530.00 well above what the original loan amount even was. My question is is there anything i can legally do? Can i put a stop payment on them through my bank without going to court or anything. I really need some advice here i am so frustrated that i even let myself get caught up in this whole payday loan loop.

GECC isn't licensed to lend to MI residents. There is only one way to stop withdrawals and that is to close out your account completely, now that they have your account information it will NEVER be safe again. Revoking their rights to debit your account won't stop them as they will simply change their name and debit everything from your account. They are MORE than paid in full, due to the fact they aren't licensed all you should have paid them was the principal amount you borrowed. They have NO legal ground to stand on because they broke the law by lending without being licensed. They will threaten and harass you once you begin this procedure but you need to stand your ground. I also have a pdl with usfastcash. The amount i borrowed from them was $300. they have taken money out on 6/30/09,7/16/09,7/30/09,8/13/09,8/27/09,and 9/10/09 all in the amount of $90.00 except this last payment was $140.00. If my caculations are correct i have already paid them $590. Are the also illegal to loan to residents in MI?

USFastCash isn't licensed to lend anywhere. By the way, a hard debit block will only work for awhile, like I said, once these lenders have your account number it will never be safe again. If it were me, I would close it out and open a new account at a totally different bank, even better a Credit Union. CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

Thing is my partner has had his account with this bank for 15 yrs. Getting him to close it out and go with another bank is gonna be hard for me. He is very stubbor and set in his ways so if i close out the account and open a new one with the same bank will they still be able to get my new info and continue to take money out? This is so frustrating im so mad at myself for getting caught up in this whole pdl loop.

How long will I be harassed by these companies. I just started to revoke them and I AM getting uneasy feeling now.I know I had to do thsi to get myself back on track and get out of the mess I am in. One click cash claiming I knew what I was doing because I had loans with them before and I now I just want to stop paying.
