I have a pdl from Cashnet USA and am in default. The original loan was for 500.00. However I paid 300.00 on the principle and 500.00 in interest. What they say I owe right now is 283.00. A "Mr. Richards" keeps calling leaving threatening messages at my home and my job. My boss is getting very irritated by this and getting upset with me. I've read all the "how to's" and the WI laws about dealing with this but because I'm in WI, I'm still confused about what I'm obligated to do. Can anybody give me some advice?

Cash America Net of Wisconsin LLC
DBA: CashNetUSA DBA Launch Personal Loans
200 West Jackson Blvd Suite 2400
License Number 2266

Apparently they are listed as a personal loan lender. It would be in your best interest to work out some type of payment plan with them. If you have recently closed your old account and opened a new one, I wouldn't give them your new information, tell them you would be willing to make payments via the mail with money orders. Ask them if they have a hardship plan because you are have financial difficulties. Don't ignore them though, because they can and will sue you. By the way, they wouldn't follow the payday lender laws because they aren't licensed as a payday lender, so they are perfectly legal in what they charge, unfortunately.

Thank you for the advice. I already have closed my account and opened a new one in another bank. I'm embarrassed to say that they are just one of many. But so far, they're the most aggressive. I have 3 store front ones that I'm working with but its the internet ones that I'm worried about. They are:
PaydayOne
mycashnow
unitedcashloan
checkcity
USFastcash
loanbyphone
checkcity
Can anybody tell me which ones are illegal? With living in WI and this state being so lenient with the PDL's do I have any recourse with dealing with these especially if I've already paid the principle amount?
I am so thankful for this site. I thought I was the only one with this problem. I can't believe I fell into this trap. Talk about the snowball effect!!

Wisconsin requires Internet lenders to be licensed by your state if they solicitated you. I can tell you that Mycashnow, United Cash loans, and USFastcash are not legal lenders. CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders. I am unsure of the rest of them. You can research them by typing the names of each lender into the search box located in the upper right nad corner of this forum. Always take care of the legal lenders first, you can always make payments to the illegal lenders via the mail with a money order, on your terms. All that you owe the unlicensed lenders is what you borrowed in the first place less any payments, fees and interest. They will try to tell you otherwise but they are full of crap. No use in arguing with them, just read the topic on how to deal with illegal lenders, there is a lot of good information there. Keep checking back for more replies. If you have any further question feel free to ask.
