New Information for whoever is posting spam

Well, hello there spammers, specifically the ones who are continually posting porn links and prescription medication links. :p I am sure you have noticed by now that NONE of your posts are showing up, or have you? That's because of the new software installed for this forum. You're wasting your time, it won't even show up before it's deleted, just sayin'!! :rolleyes:

Shazz, I like the motivation! The reality is that most of these spams are generated by bots and scripts that parse the internet. It's kind of like the Matrix a little -- all these bots running aroung analyzing all the websites that exist, and looking for loopholes in the code that will allow them to post their spam. (Our loophole is that we allow guests to post without requiring any sort of authentication). I could get technical if you want.... but it has to do with the HTML code and

tags that websites like ours run on.

Just like the spams you find in your email, it is all computer generated, and very rarely is there a "live" person at the other end. (The live person, rather, develops the programs and code that drive the computer; but rarely will that live person ever see the actual spam that his program generates.)

So the bottom line is that all the spam that shows up here, will most likely never be seen by its creator; nor will they see this message.... Sorry to say.

Shazz, DC Here. Just as an example, I wrote a simple script that will append posts to this thread. I am not even on the website right now, this is all done by code.......

..... it took me about 20-30 mins write my program and figure out how to get it to post to the DCC boards (and I'd only consider myself a novice). Imagine someone who has lots of time on their hands .........

Now look and you'll see these three replies were posted within seconds of each other. I did not have time to sit here and type out my replies on the website and press "submit" each time; I do it through programming.

With a few more lines of code, I could cycle my script 1000 times and post that many replies. But I won't, I'm just making a point here. Now I've had my fun and I am done...... DC
