I'm not really sure how that works. The loans were originally through Wells Fargo, but I believe they were federal loans as they also have offset my taxes.

Your report will have 2 default tradelines...Wells Fargo and your guarantor. No judgement is required for a student loan garnishment....it is authorized by congress. They are both authorized to report for 7 years from your default date.
