How much notice do you need to give a PDl to stop them from withdrawling money leagally on an ACH withdrawl?

as soon as they receive the letter,but it is best to secure the account.the reason being an illegal pdl will debit anyway.i fact they might just clean the account out.it's best to either put the account on deposits only,or close it,and open a new one.the reason you send the letter is so when they still debit you can get that money returned,but it's a big hassel.
