midway lending SCAM alert

Just an FYI for everyone. I know I am extremely new here on the Boards and I am looking to dig myself out of this PDL hell I have been searching for a loan to consolidate all my PDL's into one to pay them off well I came across one offering $5000 to $10,000 depending on credit ect ect .. you fill it out and then it tells you a rep will be in touch.
Well a couple of days later I get a call from a guy named Kurt offering me a Loan but because my credit is bad that it is a "private" investor that is willing to loan me the money but I have to pay a finance deposit up front 6 percent of the total loan which then will cover the first 6 payments. I am really estatic about it and see there might be hope ... but it seemed fishy.
So I started asking him questions and he is going to fax over info .. never shows up. I call them back and he does anwser the phone when you call. He says sorry I will resend it out .. I decided that I would Google his number and information. Because when he called me he said a different business name then when I called in and the machine picked up. Also, no other extensions worked when I tried picking a different one.
I am from Wisconsin and I can tell an accent from up north. I asked him where they were from and located he told me Tampa .. His accent is definetly Canadia. When I asked him how long he had been in business he told me they had been there ten years. When I googled him it said that they are a start up company that just recently started in August.
I did not accept this "offer" and did not send him money .. just wanted to put this on here in case someone else in the same shoes I am thinks it is helpful.
Here is another poster on google that had same experience.
"After reading about the company but still tempted by the chance of such a great loan, I called and practically interrogated "Kurt". He told me that he was aware of the information on the message boards and that it was incorrect and misleading as was much of the information on the net. So I asked some simple questions about the business, I asked how long they had been in business for... his reply was 10-15 years? Odd answer... that's a 5 year span of time the company could have started? Most companies have a more exact measure of how long they have been in business. Also, I asked him if he knew it was illegal to ask for money in advance on a loan in Florida, he said that he was aware? What legitimate company continues illegal activities when they are aware that they are illegal? The money down is also to be sent to Canada because that's where the supposed lender is located... funny that every person on these message boards got approved by the same lender in Canada, even though the credit circumstances and loan amounts vary greatly! Okay that all in itself is enough for even the dullest to catch on that the company is a complete joke but I had to take it one step further... My cousin just so happens to live in Tampa, so I asked "Kurt" for the suite # of his office (suite 400). Well, sent my cousin over to the building and turns out that there is no suite 400!!! So, if you weren't convinced before, hopefully your are now! There is no such company as Midway Lending Services, but just so you know Better Business Bureau has issued an F rating to the company name "Midway Lending Services" as well as Kurt Callahan!"
