Need advice, i have Eastern Asset Managment calling in regards to a Pay day loan they say i owe, from last year. They cannot provide me the name of the company, any account documentation, nor send me notrice in the mail, only fax or e-mail. I did have a few i had to default on, i paid all, atleats i thought. I do not feel good about this, i feel it's a bit shady. I was told that do not have any documernts because they are a law firm and not a collection agency, i was told that I could be charged wioth chack fraud, which i know is BS since no check was ever involved, just ACH transactions. The gentlman seemed to want to find out right away of i was going to settle on my own before they filed, i said i first need to see if the debt is really mine, he just said to call back by Friday befopre they filed. Any help on this would be great. I think the Payday l;oan was from Paydayloan Yes, because the date, and original amount he told me almost mathc up. I beleive Paydayloan yes is an unlice4nsed lender, located outside the U.S., and this may be a bottom feeding collection tatic. Please advise!!

it doesn't matter what loan it was.eastern is a notorious bottomfeeder collector.do a search in the box upper right.that will give you insight to this place.they are not filing anything.send a dv letter asap.send it certified mail return receipt.in the meantime.do not speak to this person again.when he does call hang up.it's not worth your time.

NOW I AM GETTING A MESSAGE SAYING THAT ME OR MY ATTORENY NEED TO CONTACT THEM RIGHT AWAY, BECAUSE OF A CASE PENDING AGINST ME, STILL, CAN NOT GET THEM TO VALIDATE ANYTHING, THEY SAY THEY ARE NOT A COLLECTION COMPANY AND THEY DO NOT HAVE THAT INFORMATION. WHAT SHOULD I DO, THEY ARE QUCIKM TO ASK IF I WANT TO SETTLE FIRST, PRETTY AGGRESIVE, MY GUT TELLS ME THIS IS A SCAM. i GET A CAL ON WEDNESDAY, FIRST CONTACT, THEN A CALL TODAY SAYING IT IS MOVING TO THE COURTS IN MY COUNTY, NEVER ANY NOTIFCATION IN THE MAIL, SEEMS SHADY. WHAT SHOULD I DO, I CAN NOT GET AN ADRESS FROM THEM TO SEND A DV LETTER, PLEASE HELP.

first to ease your mind that this is a scam.check with your coun

first to ease your mind that this is a scam.check with your county court clerk.when they inform you that there is nothing with your name on it.then whenever these people call hang up loudly.that is all they deserve.better yet tell them you checked with your court clerk,and are through speaking to a scam.also file police reports for the harrasment.then file AG,and FTC complaints.you can do that online.just know that this is a scam run by evil deluded people.

Thanks Paul, that really helps. They will not give me a mailing address, but i will check with my county court clerk when they tell or if they tell me they have filed.I wil also file compaints with my states AG. They claim to not be a collection agency, but i know that is not the truth, they just deny, deny,deny. Total scum.
