rumson bolling and associates - is it doing scam?

F rating with the BBB and 40 complaints in the last 36 months. this is what i found while searching

Can someone tell me more about them? Does this sound familiar, is this what they do?

The other day they left us a message on our home phone then called my husband's cell phone. My husband talked to them and they were telling him that they have in their notes that he is a business owner and did business with xyz company. They had my husbands address, both numbers but they had his middle initial wrong. He told them it wasn't him and they said they wouldn't call back.

So today a call comes in to our home phone and I didn't answer. Then my husbands cell rang and he was in the shower so I answered it because I recognized the number. Again they asked the same questions and I told them they already called etc. They rattled off our address and the first 5 digits of my husband's ss#!! I told them I didn't know his ss# and again they have the wrong # so they said they wouldn't all back.

My husband was not happy so he called them to "straighten" it out and when we gave them the file # they couldn't find his name or phone number. The person got really rude with my husband and my husband told him off and the person said it must just be a mistake and hung up on my husband. My husband called back and asked for a manager and they wouldn't put him through and they kept asking for my husband's phone number so my husband hung up.

What is with them? How would they get our info? We don't have anything in any kind of collections. We did submit some info to a settlement company but then changed our mind, could they have gotten it from them?

Rumson Bolling & Associates is a Fraud and Will Rob You blind

This scam operation is owned an operated by David Mitchell Hynes and his wife Lorena Hynes. These two use their employees Kevin Medley a former actor and James Hynes David's brother to run the opetation in an effort to provide a veil of "protection" for themselves. They have stolen millions and are repesented by Randy Chang an attorney woth only 5 years experience who should be stripped of his lisence to practice law. A Belleville woman contacted News 4 after she started receiving vulgar phone calls from a California debt collector.

Tammy Henshaw's daughter Angie died last May, she says she was unable to pay the funeral home $5,000 for the casket, the service, and use of the parlor. The funeral home entered a contract with Rumson, Bolling and Associates in California to collect Tammy's debt.

"They told me they were going to dig my daughter up and hang her from a tree," if she didn't pay the debt according to Henshaw. Henshaw says the calls came from the 818 area code, the debt collector confirms the phone number belongs to them.

Henshaw provided News 4 with a copy of the conversations she recorded. On the tape you hear a male voice making threats, you also hear the caller tell Henshaw she is "white trash." The caller goes on to say he's going to kill her dog and eat the animal, he also says he's going to send the sheriff to her home and have her arrested. Henshaw says the calls have caused emotional anguish, and she's even checked her daughters grave to make sure it remains undisturbed.
