I just settled a credit card debt with a CA that bought my debt from the original creditor. The account was marked "Paid In Full" by the CA. Will this stay on my credit report for 7 years from the date I settled with the CA, or 7 years from the date of my last payment with the original creditor?

It depends. So was this account being reported as a collection account or a delinquent account with the original creditor? Usually you can always have negative entries removed prior to 7 years, especially if it has been settled. You can always dispute the entry if it doesn't fall off 7 years from the original delinquency date on the account. You shouldn't have a problem getting rid of it prior to 7 years though now that it is settled
