What other names does cash advance go by? Is cash net usa a legal lender in the stae of Ohio?

I have some foreign guy calling me saying he is a lawyer. He said I took out a pdl with cash advance for 550.00 back in January of 2006. H e also said i owe 950.00 or they will take me to court. I know he is not an attorney and this hasn"t been my first go around with these crazies in the pdl world. I checked my bank statements and couldn"t find anything from cash advance. I just wondered if they went by another name. I have been on the pdl roller coaster and had several loans out before until they almost broke me. I don' t want to pay some stranger 950.00. Can you give me some good advice on how to deal with this character? I have to call him back after i get off work. He says he works for David Cooper law firm in California. I know he isn't who he says he is. Please help. Thanks!!!!

Well I went to work today and found out that this guy called my work every 5min. after i had left work. I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commision and with the Ohio Attorney General's office. I was advised by them to call this guy and tell him that i would no longer be corresponding by phone but by mail. I got the address and a few choice words from them. They then called me back on my cell phone and completely went off..yelling and threatening me. I hung up on them and they tried to call back 2 more times. I am worried about my job and about these crazy people. The Ohio Attorney General's office sent out complaint paprs out today. They said to fill them out and then they will be authorized to contact these people. Any suggestions on what else i can do. I can't handle these phone calls. They are intimidating! Also, does anyone have any suggestions on a good non-profit debt consolidator. I don't want to surf the web for someone i may not be able to trust. Thanks 2 All!!

Don't talk to them when they call, the more you talk, the more they will call, if they have no one to argue with they will cease calling a lot sooner.

The number they are calling me from is 661-263-4011. They are supposed to attorneys and they are calling me about cashadvance. I have checked with my bank and i have nothing from cash advance or any other pdl 's in Jan. of 2006. Have you filed a complaint with the FTC. They told me that they don't investigate individual complaints but if they see a trend with these guys they will step in.
