Will they delay charge off if I settle? -urgent

I am VERY close to being charged off on a few of my cards, one of them is set to charge off on the 31st.
I am going to offer a settlement tomorrow. Will they delay charge off to give enough time to send me the offer in writing and for me to send the payment? or do they have to receive all payments before the 180 day mark?
