Received Good Settlement Offer from Citibank

My husband has a credit card with Citibank that hasn't been paid on in years. I was worried about getting it settled for a reasonable amount.
Today in the mail I got a letter from Northland Group, collecting for Citibank. They made a settlement offer of 2,133.41. The full balance is $10,667.04.
I'm sending them a DV letter just to make sure that I'm paying the right people. Once I get the DV back I'm definitely taking the offer.
One less worry!

also get assurances that the remainder will not be re-sold.also

I'll definitely get that in writing at as well. I'd be madder than Hades if I just ended up owing a different company the difference.
