I have wrote this all day with no one writng me back. I moved out of a apartment early and I was contacted by the collection co. and I owe $3000 and made payments of $150 a month and told them in 5 months I would try and pay $600 by skipping a car payment but the car place said I couldnt. anyway he wanted more money I sent him a certifed letter staing that I would give him $200 a month and I would pay the lump sum of $600 in the next 3 months (Xmas bouns) to help catch up on the account and contuie to pay $200 a month. I told him in the letter not to call me on my work phone unless he wanted to accept these terms But he called anyway and wanted my Banking info to take the payments out every month > I was told my the Christain Debt Consolidation not to give him that info and let him take me to court and the judge will see I am trying in good faithto make an effort. He said he is turning it over to the legal Dept. How long does it take to go to court after I am served and whats goes on there . Help Thank you

If you owe them $3000 than how are you getting away with only paying the $600? Did they agree to this? The debt company is right..DO NOT give them your account information or they will welcome themselves to whatever money you have in that account. I would try to continue to make the monthly payments by money order and keep track of all of them. If they do take you to court (which will take months before going in front of the judge) you can show them all the good faith payments you have made. It is better if the judge issues a payment amount that way the creditor can not take more than the judge declares fit...I believe this may be 30% of your wages. They will not be able to help themselves to whatever is there. He may in fact just have you continue making the monthly payments by money order if he sees the good effort.
