Received a call from LRA 866-520-1240

I just checked and this company is licensed to debt collect in Minnesota. What now?

I already have an AG complaint, i just don't know which company its for yet.

I called them Friday. They were the WORST. I am sending them the DV letter tomorrow morning. You should do the same. The lady I spoke to was classic collection. She was Rude, obnoxious, condesending and actually accused me of being those things. You'll gain nothing by calling. Make them follow the collection rules and see where it leads. I am sorry I called. BAD NEWS.....

doesn't matter that they are licensed.they are only a CA,and can't take legal action.only an OC can.just because they are licensed doesn't mean they play by the rules.file new complaints against LRA.

I was a bit nervous delaling with them at first because they were licensed, but the first conversation I had with Mr. Brant Barry completly changed that feeling. They break every law and hopefully they will be shut down. Send the DV letter certified so you have proof it was sent and just like everybody else mentioned..file complaints, that will be the only way to get these clowns shut down.

I wll send the DV letter out. I don't even know who they are collecting for. And they called my daughter's cell phone. She is 15 but the cell phone is in my name.

Should I call them and ask for the dunning letter?

you can ask,but whether or not they send it is iffy at best.get the DV letter out,and file the complaints as shazzers advised.

Thanks for the advice I have an open case with the AG on the payday loan companies I included this in it as well. I just hit the send so it should be good.
