I received a voicemail on my cell phone from a place called LRA. They gave me a vague message stating I or my representative needed to call them as soon as possible regarding an important legal matter. They gave me a reference number etc.

What should be my next step. Yes i had illegal paydays loans that defaulted. Do I sent a debt validation letter. Do I call them back and ask them to send something via U.S. postal mail.

What is the next course of action.

Thanks

I called them Friday. They were the WORST. I am sending them the DV letter tomorrow morning. You should do the same. The lady I spoke to was classic collection. She was Rude, obnoxious, condesending and actually accused me of being those things. You'll gain nothing by calling. Make them follow the collection rules and see where it leads. I am sorry I called. BAD NEWS.....

I was a bit nervous delaling with them at first because they were licensed, but the first conversation I had with Mr. Brant Barry completly changed that feeling. They break every law and hopefully they will be shut down. Send the DV letter certified so you have proof it was sent and just like everybody else mentioned..file complaints, that will be the only way to get these clowns shut down.
