Debt management Fees

Hi, I have a question about how much a debt management company can charge legally in Florida. I have looked every where and contact different agencies with no help.
They currently charge me $61 per month, and I saw on a couple of articles that if a company is charging more than $40 then something is wrong.
Can someone please let me know if the amounts in the articles are correct? And if I could contact the current debt management company and ask them to lower the fees would they do so?
Thanks.

Shop around. There are tons of non- profit debt management companies in Florida that will charge way less that $61 per month. Just be sure to do research on that company to make sure they have a 501(c) 3 Non profit business license.

Try Take Charge America. My fee with them was $42 per month, but they handled everything......took a lot of pressure off me. And their customer services is 10 stars! You can follow your transactions on their website and know exactly where you stand. They always talk to you and answer your e-mails. I was with them 2.5 years.
