Harassment? Civil Warrant
Date: Fri, 10/30/2009 - 06:49
An officer came to my house at 5:50 in the morning to serve me a civil warrant. I was not home. My roommate answered the door and was told by the officer that although he's sorry for waking him up, he'll be back every day at that time knocking hard unless I answered the call. Is this legal? I know debt collectors can only call at certain hours, but I'm not certain about the rules of being served a civil warrant. Is this harassment?
well rules for service vary by state.has your roommate told him
well rules for service vary by state.has your roommate told him when you are home?5:50am seems early.i would check with your court clerk to see if a case is filed.it seems odd that he knows you are not home, and will be around at that time anyway.check with the court clerk, and inform them of this.
