Moreover, pdls are illegal in your state. The collection agency too can't collect on illegal payday loans. But it's true that you owe them the principal amount. I'd have paid them with a moneygram and called it a day.

I know.. so, now that I gave them that money, they want 300$ more..they are threatening legal action court if I dont give them the xtra 300$ in 2 weeks, what is your suggestion to handle..I do owe the principle which I paid plus some, but I dont think I should pay the balance. How would you handle now?

did they ever take legal action on you? I have the same place threatening me now.
