How do I go about making a credit card settlement payment? I am going to pay a settlement buy I want proof I made the payment for that purpose.

I would personally do a money order and mail it were they have to sign it so you know it was recieved. Do you have a written agreement that agrees to your terms from them? If not do not send them anything till they agree to your terms. I would also send along a letter stating the agreement and this check is for payment in full and the debt is now satisfied. make yourself a copy also
