I have a loan coming out on Tuesday for Cash Central and I requested to invoke and EPP yesterday (Friday) but I have yet to get a response. I'm hoping they are open on Monday so I can make sure they will honor my request and not put through an ACH. Thanks.

The best thing to do would be to close the account. If you tell them you revoke EFT authorization, they'll debit anyway. If you tell your bank to block debits of a certain $ amount, they'll vary the amount. If you ask your bank to block debits from a specific company, they'll debit under a different name. All three of these tactics are big time illegal and there are ways to get your money back if they pull this type of shit, but they take time (10-45 business days for bank investigation or several months for consumer complaint or EFTA suit).

Also, I'd bet if they could find an ACH processor and bank open on veteran's day, they'd put the debit in on the exact date. If payday loan companies cared about American veterans, they wouldn't specifically target vets returning home from combat with their loansharking schemes

Another uninformed "voice". The fact is that the Bush Administration eliminated the ability to legally loan to the military personnel and thier dependents whe he signed the defense bill a few years ago. This made it illegal for anyone to charge more than 36% APR and put severe reprecussions on a military person or dependent to lie about thier status in order to get a loan that exceed 36% APR.
