thread sorting

how come some of the main forums are now sorted alphabetically? is there something i can do about that?

In the forum index page, scroll all the way down to the bottom of the list of threads.
Find 'Display Options', immediately below the thread list, on the left. There are three drop boxes in that section.
Set the 'Sorted By' box to 'Last Post Time', and the 'Sort Order' box to 'Descending.'
Then click the 'Show Threads' button. Problem solved.
