Collection Agencies Hiding Identity

A great majority of people will not pick up a phone call if it says "caller unknown" or if there is no name attached to the # that is recognizable.
How can it be construed that the debtor is avoiding contact with collections if in fact collections is not disclosing their identity?
my guess is they figure that if you saw their name on caller ID,
my guess is they figure that if you saw their name on caller ID, you would not want to pick up? i do not pick up unknown callers so i know where you are coming from but i imagine that many people would not be eager to pick up calls from collectors neither.

I have 'Caller ID' on my line. Usually..if the caller is 'unknown', I don't pick it up. Aslo...if someone is calling from a cell phone, than my 'Caller ID' will show what state the cell phone is 'registered' in. I've 'caught' CA's a few times this way....telling them they are calling from cell phones and they claim they are not!!LOL
