Yeah, they'll probably call you back tomorrow. It ain't like they have anything better to do. Record their abusive calls. Might come in handy down the road...
And no. You don't have to tell them you're recording. Utah is a 'one party' state.

I too have recieved a call from them. They have also called my mother and told her that they were serving me papers tomorrow and that I needed to make myself available. I called and spoke with them because obviously I was scared. This was something that happened 3 years ago,. He asked me how much I could afford to pay and I said maybe 100 a month. He put me on hold so he could talk to his attorneys, and they said they would not take it. Then he said they wanted half of the settlement offer which was 358. I called back a few hours later and told them the most I could come up with ws 218. He put me on hold again and said the attorney line was busy but he would authorize the amount. He said that all court litigation would stop and he would call me Monday to continue to make payment arrangements. I have moved since I have had this loan and not once did he ask me for my address or my phone number. That is what had me thinking. I am glad to have found this info. It makes me feel better. Now I will call tomorrow and ask many of the same questions. Thanks

glad you found this forum before giving him anything.first off he wasn't speaking to anybody.he put you on hold for effect.nothing else.second you are right in your wondering why he didn't ask for your address.he most likely bought the info, and is trying to scam money out of you.another question you should ask when you call is.how can they litigate without serving you first?bottom line this is a scam, and should get nothing.
