can a bank deny allowing you to close a banking account to stop illegal PDL withdraws. I would love to stay at his back since I have been there 10 yrs no problems but not sure if they are going to understand me, so if I go in and tell them to close it and reopen a new one so no charges can go through, has anyone had one completely refuse and if they do this and I take my money to another bank, can the other bank find out whats going on if I do not tell them. I just dont want to get in a fight with the banks too. Its bad enought I have to fight these PDL's. And I really dont want to owe more people money. Thank you

Some banks will refuse to close an account with an negative balance. My bank (BOA) refunded my NSF fees and told me they would not close the account uless it was positive for "a while." The PDLs hit it again. Then they put it on deposit only and the corporate office reversed it and the PDLs hit it again! After a year I got it straightened out and I am still banking there! So the answer is yes! They will refuse at times! It depends on who you are dealing with! Read this sticky before you close it! http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/close-account.html

It is not negitive at all, and it has never been... So I am hoping they are nice to me cause I dont know how much more I can handle. Had to go to the doctors today not eating or sleeping and almost ready to have a complete break down. So I hope they will see I have always been a good customer and want to keep me as one.
