BoA=FIA?

Yes, that's BOA's in house collection agency. I waited to last minute with them. Called them and they offered me 22.5% right off the bat. They are really easy to deal with.

FIA card services is a fully owned subsidiary of BOA. FIA initially was a product of MBNA which then get merged to BOA on 2006.

They did place my account with a CA (Collectcorp) but I sent them a DV, which they received yesteray. BOA still owns my account, and FIA says that they will still work with me. I was told that I have time on my side, let's hope!!!

You could talk to them now and see what they say. They called and called and called me. I finally called them back when the lady left a message that they had a way to help me that I might not be aware of and if I did not call by such and such date, they would no longer be able to work with me. I guess it was closer to the 180 mark at that point. Maybe if I called sooner I would have paid less interest. I didn't have to say anything and the nice lady came right out with the 22.5% offer on the card I had for $28k.

I got offered 25% without asking. It would have been an excellent deal if someone would helped me. But my family was a jerk about it so now my account is charged off.
