I know I need to close my bank account and get a new one. The problem is it will take a couple of weeks to get my direct deposit switched to a new account and and have everything clear my old account. I have loans coming due on 12/11. I don't think I can get my old account closed by then. Would it be enough to just place a stop pay on those payments and revoke my ACH with them? Any advice?

OK I live in Ohio.

They are:

Payday One: Borrowed $750 paid $220
Eastside lenders: Borrowed 300 Paid $300 in fees
Greenligtt Funding: Borrowed 250 Paid $202.50
EzPayDayCash: Borrowed $350 Paid $$615
Cashadvance Network: Borrowed $500 Paid $0
Zip 10: Borrowed $750 Not sure how much I paid. I keep getting a reloan. But fees are $150
ApplyAdvance America: Borrowed $400 Paid $208

These are all from internet companies

Most of those are illegal lenders so blocking them won't stop them, they will just change their names and debit larger and larger amounts. You need to close out that account period, if you can't, then place a hard debit block on it until you can safely close it. Click the link below to read your payday loan laws:

I am pretty sure that Payday one is a legal lender, they may even be listed as a personal lender so you might need to look over your contract again. The rest of yours are illegal lenders, I am not sure about ApplyAdvanceAmerica, they might be legal but I doubt it. Meanwhile, CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

Thanks for the info.

So I can place a hard block on them for now.

Do I need to revoke the ACH....or do I need to wait untill I close the account? Is it best to just email them to revoke the ACH or should I send it by mail or fax?

Also do you suggest doing a cease and desist letter?

I agree with Shazzers, if you can't close your account now, then put a hard block on it so it can be used for deposits only. If you try to block a particular ACH or put a stop payment on a certain company, that might not work; many of these PDLs operate under several different names and if they can't get into your account under one name, they might try to use another. RE the legal lender; others here can probably advise you better than I can on how to deal with that loan. (I would think you'd need to talk to them about setting up a payment plan BEFORE they attempt to take their next payment, but as I said, someone else here probably knows more about that procedure than I do)

Send your revoke ACH to the pdl lenders and give you bank a copy. Have them put a hard block on any debits. Unfortunately, that will include any you have for mortgage, utilities, insurance, etc. Open new account and transfer what you have in your old one except enough to keep account open until your direct deposits are changed.

I had to do this as it took state 6 weeks to change my direct deposit. As soon as my paycheck hit the "old account" I transferred the funds to the new one so the pdls couldn't take any money "just in case" things got fouled up with the bank.

Once my direct deposit changed, I transferred the remaining funds in the old account to the new one and closed the old one. I have been stress-free ever since.

I see you have Eastside Lenders. They will hound you after their ACH is blocked. they'll send you a few e-mails and then turn it over to Smith,Haines,Watson who are despicable.
