Thinking of accepting first settlement. The CC company is going to report as "Paid in full/ less than full balance. Is this acceptable?

You're missing a character.... R09 is an unpaid chargeoff; R9P is a paid chargeoff. (But these descriptors are specific to Transunion only -- the other bureaus don't use these codes). You would only see these codes on a commercial version of your Transunion credit report (one that a lender or bank might look at); you won't see these codes on the consumer version that you get by checking your own credit.

The industry-standard MetroII comparisons for the other bureaus would be a status 97 for unpaid chargeoff, or status 64 for a paid chargeoff.

If the account was indeed charged off before you settled, then it will be standard for them to report it as a paid chargeoff/settled once you pay them. You're not going to get them to report that it was never charged off. The only alternative is for you to get them to agree to delete in its entirety.
