state of accounts when settled-open or closed

I was curios as to the status of accounts when they were successfully settled. Basically, when was the last time you used the card (even for a 5$ purchase) and where they open or closed at the time. Any input would be awesome and thanks in advance. Specifically, bank of america and discovercard. Thanks again!
If you have settled the account its status might display 'paid i
If you have settled the account its status might display 'paid in full', if you have paid off the entire amount or 'paid as agreed', if you have settled for less. You may also negotiate for 'pay for delete' with the creditor/collection to get the settled account disappear from your report.
However, this is what generally happens; for specific replies regarding Discover and BofA you must hang tight.
