I have an installment credit card debt from capital one for my daughters braces. 4600. It has been sold to a collection agency. Law firm John P. Frye is doing the collection for Atlantic Credit & Finance. I have a 30% offer. any advice

The debt negation companies tell me they can structure payments over a 3 year plan for a reduced amount (as much as 60% reduction) How do they spread the payment s out so long? Is the CC company waiting and taking monthly payments or is the DNc banking the cash and then making deals as the cash come available?

And I just saw a UFO...Don't buy into their scams or believe anything they say. They take almost all of your money for fees, a nickel goes into your settlement pot, and when the time comes to settle, you'll have no money to do it cause you gave it all away...Also, you will still get the phone calls...Do it yourself.

The DNC is stashing your cash. Your cards will not be getting paid. Once they have enough stashed they will offer settlements.

You could stash it yourself and save that fee they want.

Not many in the forum seem to recommend using settlement companies. With the information in this forum you can do it your self.
