1. You can't ignore the fact that "Judgments are on the way".

2. I strongly suggest that you and your husband run, don't walk to a bk lawyer and seek a professional opinion.

I have to ask more about "judgments on the way". Have you been to court? Have you been sued?

We had been advised to file BK too but I knew that would be my VERY last resort. I know that it's supposed to fall off after 7 years but I didn't want to answer the question YES for the rest of my life on whether I had ever filed.

We ended up settling 70K for about a 1/3 of that and I am glad we chose BK as a last resort. I would have to know more about your situation but if your husband is working again and you have income, I think settlement could still be an option.
