Already lost our home
80K in CC debt
Judgments are on the way

What do we do?

Husband is finally working, do we file BK, try to work out some sort of payment arrangement, or just ignore it.

Help!
I can't sleep at night!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Without knowing more about your financial situation it is hard to comment on a possible solution. But 80k in unsecured debt sounds quite intimidating, hence, bankruptcy can be an alternative. IMO you can sign up with this community for a free debt consultation to weigh all your options before deciding on one.

we would definitely need somemore info. but like sc stated you can read up also on the pros and cons of settlement, consolidation, and bk and hopefully find out which option is the right one for you. Also it would also depend on how late you are on somethings and so forth. so get back to us so we can have a better understanding of your situation!

Cant_sleep,

I came across your posting, and I'm wondering if you ever found a solution to your debt problem.

80K in CC debt is very steep, and it can be a hassle to even think about what to do with all this debt.

I'm a branch manager here at Credit 911, a prominent consumer advocacy debt settlement company. Why don't you give me a call or shoot over an e-mail, and I will be glad to explain our program and process to you.

This, of course, goes out not only to Cant_Sleep, but to any other individuals who feel that they have a huge debt amount and are wanting an efficient and honest way to pay it back interest-free.

There is a gentlemen by the name of Doug Johnson who is an approved consultant on this website. Search this site for his name to get his contact info. He offers a program called Debt Transfer which MAY BE ABLE to resolve your cc debt for around $3k. Huge savings potential. try newdebtrules.com/memberhome for details on debt transfer

I have to ask more about "judgments on the way". Have you been to court? Have you been sued?

We had been advised to file BK too but I knew that would be my VERY last resort. I know that it's supposed to fall off after 7 years but I didn't want to answer the question YES for the rest of my life on whether I had ever filed.

We ended up settling 70K for about a 1/3 of that and I am glad we chose BK as a last resort. I would have to know more about your situation but if your husband is working again and you have income, I think settlement could still be an option.
