I sent a DV letter to Riexinger & Assoc after getting phone calls (and finally correspondence) from them about collection efforts. They called last week and I know that call came after they had received and signed for my DV letter because I verified that online on the USPS website (this was prior to me receiving my green receipt back, which I have now received).

Today I received another call from them as well as a voice mail message. Are they allowed to keep calling after receiving the DV letter but before validating? I thought CA's were allowed to only make one last attempt after receiving a DV letter but must then cease collection efforts until they validate the debt?
Should I answer them if they call again and remind them of my DV letter? Any advice anyone can give me is greatly appreciated.

they are not allowed to call or attempt to collect after receiving a DV letter.you can see what they want, but if it isn't them saying that they have received the letter and will validate.anything other than that, and i would research your state laws in regards to recording calls.
