The Bar Group - PD Loan-Yes
Date: Wed, 12/16/2009 - 10:17
The message I received was from a Michael Abrahms who id'd himself as a process server for the state. He left me a number to call (number noted above) incase I wanted to attempt to resolve prior to going to court.
Called the number and spoke with a Ms. Leverett she told me that my account was sold to them - I'm assuming it's a collections agency?
When I requested validation of the debt she started yelling at me and hung up on me.
I'm assuming they aren't legit...any one else have any information on them?
What is a process server and if they actually had legal documents to serve you why would they call in advance?
This place is affiliated with PDL Yes.

Any legit company wouldn't behave this way, therefore, next time they call I would tell them they now have 5 days to send you a letter of collection via the mail as required by the FDCPA. If they persist, and contimue calling you, file a complaint against them with the FTC, provide as many details as possible to the FTC. They are in violation of the FDCPA if they continue to call you after you request a dunning letter (letter of collection). Besides, Paydayloanyes is an illegal company operating from overseas, so they can't touch you anyway.

I was hoping this and really figured this was the feedback that I'd receive. Even knowing what I know now, it's still a little nerve wracking.
