My husband and i fell into debt fast. We didnt realize we were in collections at a few companies until we pulled a credit report. When we finally did we have settled 3 accounts and have arrangments with the remaining 4. There was also an apartment complex that says we defaulted on a contract but with a military clause there was no excuse to send to collection. This mistake on our credit cost us $12,000 up front to move into another complex in our new duty station. When i was aware of this error the company worked with me and has sinced removed this error from our credit. Now i have 3 accounts i am trying to clear up but they happen to be the large accounts that have doubled and will not settle for anything but a rediculous amount monthly. We are trying to be resposible, some companies are just easier to work with than others. If anyone has any suggestions please reply. Thank you
