Hello, Retail Recovery Service (190 Moore St, Hackensack, NJ) sent me a letter for HSBC. They have an account numberm and a settlement offer. Last I heard this account was in various branches of LVNV. I have not recieved calls or anything telling me I can dispute this debt. I am going to fire off a DV Letter (and c & d). But is there anything I should add in this letter? I have been going through this with this company for a long time now. I would settle but nobody wants to validate!! Any suggestions?

sadly that is how LVNV,and everyone who collects for them operates.they figured you would just talk settlement, and forget that this was with LVNV.sad and predictable by them.

it's crazy, sometimes i get so worried they will sue but i will pay them a penny unless they validate! even the companies who claim they "validate" just send me something on their letterhead with my account number, and the amount i owed. luckily this board has taught me to send everything certified and to keep copies of everything so i am covered.
