Ok, just wanted to let everyone know. They too need to write letters to their senators , congressman and anyone else who will listen. I got a e-mail back from Barbara Boxer this mornning asking for more information on my situation with illegal PDL's cause she is wanting to open an formal investigation into what is going on. I know there is a chance that nothing will follow, but it is nice to have this e-mail. I may use it as a tool and show it to my illegal PDL's. So please write letters to anyone you can think of....

Jasgal, that's great! I knew there was a reason I voted for Barbara, lol! I think I'll write her too, as well as Diane Feinstein. But what I think needs to happen first is that they look into these horrible offshores, like the Sonics and the Cash Todays that are out there. They definately have to go first, and then we can go after the domestic ones.

That is a great idea Jasgal! The more attention these places get the faster they will go out of business...ks I agree with you... let's get the off shore ones first and then go after the domestic because once the off shore ones are shut down there won't be the cash to flow into the domestic ones... since I believe that they are all linked somehow.

I wish that it would be a matter of closing them down and then being able to rest but I am sure that they are already looking for the next loophole to get people's money. if they would just use that motivation for good can you imagine what a different place this would be!

So I get an email from Unitedcashloans & Oneclickcash telling me for a limited time I can set up payments before I go to an outside collection agency. So I logged in to see what the offer is and its not want i owe. They said this is a limited time only. Has anyone gotten this from them before. I owe $300 to United and $250 to Oneclick. And advise would be helpful. It says I can make an offer but it wont let me put what I really owe.

Jasgal; how much were your loans for and how much have you paid them back in fees? Don't know about Oneclick, but I'm pretty sure United Cash Loans is illegal just about everywhere. I'd be very careful with these people. Have you already closed your bank account? Could be they're trying to get your new bank information. If you feel you don't owe them as much money as they're asking for, send them e-mails, letters, etc., what you DO owe, tell them you'll pay by money order or prepaid credit card.

Dear Barbara Boxer,

I first want to thank you for showing interest in my complaint. What I would like you to be aware of is there are Illegal Internet Payday Loan companies who are lending to California residents who are not licensed to do so. They are charging outrageous fees to desperate consumers. In my research I have found that these companies know they are not supposed to be lending to California residents but they continue to do so. The Department of Corporations has been trying to fight these companies in the court system, but have came against issues of not being able to find these companies or the problem that these companies are now trying to say they are ran by Tribal Nation and that they do not have to follow any State laws. They threaten consumers stating they are going to jail and also more by threatening their friends and families. I don’t think our country had any clue that by passing laws that allowed Tribal Nations protection that they would use this protection to become criminals. They use scare tactics to get people to pay more money than they even owe. In some cases money people never barrowed.
What I am asking you is to look at these companies. The Military Families have received help in dealing with Payday Loan companies, but what about the regular hard working person who these companies harass. These companies need to know they can not threaten consumers the way they do. They use the internet to prey on innocent people. What they are doing should be considered criminal. They will tell consumers they have till the end of the day to pay a certain amount or they are going to jail. You can not go to jail for a civil debt. It is not a crime to be poor. It is illegal to threaten jail time to a consumer in efforts to collect on a debt.
Below is a list of some of these companies I would like you to look at. Ameriloan, Unitedcashloans, Oneclickcash, VIPloanshop, Discountadvances, and more. The rates they charge are not even legal to California Law. They are only supposed to charge a consumer a max. Finance rate of 15% and a max loan amount of $300. These companies are charging as much as $30 per $100 barrowed, and no max loan amount. They are also not supposed to be allowing rollovers but do. Also according to California law you can not be criminally charged for not paying a Payday Loan, but they tell consumers they are going to jail. Consumers need protection from these types of illegal practices. They even call consumers places of employment that threaten them. This seems like another form of Predatory Lending.
I hope you are able to help out with this serious matter. It is greatly appreciated that you have taken the time to even respond to me being I am such a little person in this huge world. I never thought this matter would be seen by you. Please let me know if you need anything else. I have kept copies of all my documentation in dealing with these companies. I have also filed reports with the Better Business Bureau, Federal Trade Commission, Attorney General’s office, and the Department of Corporations. But I feel we need someone like you to really make a difference against these deceptive practices these companies do. The consumer needs to know they are worth something, that they matter too.

Again, thank you for your time, and I am looking forward to hearing back from you.

So this is what I sent, You might be able to do something better. Its hard for me to state what I want to say with out getting all emotional about it. But its hard not too. I hope everyone here will write her even if they are not if California..
