866-730-2121 Anyone know this number?

I've searched all over the web and can't seem to find the owner of this number.
They called my mother-in-law (who lives in NC, I live in PA) about 3 weeks ago looking for me. I was in labor at the time and didn't get the message until afterwards.
They left a voicemail on her answering machine saying they were looking for me and that there were going to be 3 civil suits filed against me on Monday the 14th of December. They said they were being filed against my social security number and drivers license. They left the number 866-730-2121 and a reference number.
I'm assuming this is a debt collection company pulling a massively illegal stunt. I'd like to find out who they are. When I call the number back it just says:
"Thank you for calling customer service. This number is no longer in use. To reach customer service, please call the number on the back of your card."

did this person have a thick accent?the reason i ask is because

i wouldn't worry about it.if this mope calls your mother in law again have her save the message and play it for you.it most definitely is a scam collector as those threats are so over the top.
