Sue, yes you are doing the right thing. And I feel for you. I have bad days where I am so nervous and scared. This is not a easy task, but if you stay on track and when you have bad days just come here, I do all the time. The people here are the best thing that has happened to me. These Illegal PDLs need to be stopped.

honestly, i would avoid all phone calls with them.. tell them you want written communication only. i would not even email them, it will only break you stress and they know they are wrong. if you owe them money, the arrangements can be made via us mail, there is no hurry this can be paid back on your terms.

Thanks, I really appreaciate everyone's help and support here. I have only been communicating by email with them, but one of them stated some old case law stating that any contract is binding blah, blah, blah......I know I got myself in this mess, and I am determined to make it right again. The worst one today, isn't even based in the US so I really don't think they can do anything to me. I've also filed all my complaints with AG and BBB I'm sure they will be hearing from them soon.

Sue, what I have been doing to try to keep my self from panicing is everyday I write letters to any form of media I can, Today I wrote letters to Dateline, 20/20, Goodmorning America, and Primetime. I know it will probly never get us anywhere but if 1 letter gets noticed I know these PDL's would hate to turn on the TV and see a stroy warning the world of what criminals they are. What I have done is wrote 1 letter and I just print several copies and sign them I also send in copies of the State Laws and other items. At the end of the day I feel a little better. You may want to do the same? If more of us do we might get noticed.

Don't give up, that's what these illegal lenders want you to do, they are only waiting you out. Be persistent and make sure they know you are no one they can push around. You will soon be able to breathe again but you have to be strong for the mean time and stand up for yourself.

Thanks everyone! Clearly they do have a routine. They started off by sending me one of the same form emails they set to me yesterday. I am standing my ground and just resending my original letter.
